Kendriya Vidyalaya No.II, a defense sector vidyalaya, established in 1986 is a leading educational institution in Andaman and Nicobar Islands which caters to the educational needs upto +2 level of the wards of defense and other central government employees posted in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The vidyalaya is located in Minnie Bay, Raksha Vihar , Port Blair. The Vidyalaya is run by KVS an autonomous body under the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. It is affiliated to CBSE and follows NCERT syllabus. The school comes under the Kolkata region of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.

Our Mission

KVS has a four fold mission viz:-  To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government employees including defence and para military personnel by providing a common programme of education. To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education. To initiate and promote experimentations and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like CBSE, NCERT, etc. To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of “Indianness” among children.
